J-1 비자를 소지하신 분과 J-2 비자를 소지한 동반자 분들은 미 연방 정부에서 요구하는 보험 조건
을 만족하는 보험을미국 체류기간동안 의무적으로 가입되어 있어야 합니다.
해당 방문연구자 분들은 보험 관련 서류를 학교에 제출 하셔야 하며 이러한 의무조항 위반 시 학교측에서는 해당 J 비자를 만료시킬 수 있는 권한을 가지고 있습니다.
Students coming to the US to study on a J-1 Student Visa, and their family members that are joining them are required by the US government to carry medical insurance for the full duration of their stay in the USA. Colleges and universities are required to provide the government requirements for this insurance however the information provided usually only illustrates some of these requirements. Below you will find the full text of the US government requirements for students coming to the US and their family members on a J-1 & J-2 Student Visa.

1. | Medical benefits of at least $100,000 per accident or illness
| | 2. | Repatriation of remains in the amount of $25,000
| | 3. | Expenses associated with the medical evacuation of the exchange visitor to his or her home country in the amount of $50,000
| | 4. | A deductible not to exceed $500 per accident or illness |

3. 단순 건강 검사를 목적으로 하는 비용(시력 검사 및 건강 검진)
4 .예방접종비용 (학교 입학시 Immunization 포함)
5. 정신과 질환/행동장애
6. HIV(에이즈)
7. 비뇨기계장애(요로결석)
8. 비뇨기과 질환중N39 또는 요실금
